Job DescriptionJob Description Job description: Position Summary A locally owned company is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead our day-to-day accounting operations and support the financial health of the organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who can manage core accounting functions while also providing insights that help drive business decisions. The Controller will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, while working closely with leadership to improve processes, manage costs, and support continued growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead the month-end and year-end close processes Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies Manage relationships with external partners (CPA firm, auditors, banks, etc.) Monitor job costing, margins, and profitability across projects Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls Provide financial insights and reporting to ownership and leadership team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior experience in job-costing environments strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel CPA or CMA preferred
