Tenneco Way Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated finance and treasury professional to join the Tenneco Finance Team as Senior Director of Capital Markets. This individual will be responsible for leading the capital markets activities and developing and driving Tenneco's capital markets strategy in markets around the world, including overseeing debt financing, optimizing capital structure, capital markets execution and long-term liability management. The Senior Director of Global Capital Markets will play a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy and ensuring long-term financial stability, collaborating closely with senior leadership at the Corporate level, within Tenneco's operating businesses and external banking partners to support growth and deliver shareholder value. The position reports to the Assistant Treasurer, Capital Markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Capital Structure and Debt Management Lead and oversee the company's global debt capital markets activities, including debt issuance and refinancings, project finance, sale-leaseback transactions, factoring and supply chain finance programs, development and optimization of equity transactions, and financial instrument managementMonitor and analyze market conditions, interest rates, and other economic factors to inform financing decisionsDevelop and execute strategies to optimize the company's capital structure, manage risk, and minimize financing costsConduct scenario modeling for interest rate exposure, refinancing risk, and leverage levels.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (E.g. CFO, Treasurer, FP&A, M&A, IR, Accounting, Tax, Legal etc.) to integrate capital planning with the broader corporate financial strategy, including assessing the impact of capital decisions on financial performance and riskCultivate and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions and ratings agenciesOversee preparation of offering memoranda, investor presentations, and rating agency materials Leveraged Finance & Transaction Support Support M&A activity and manage treasury integration with business unitsStructure bridge financing, acquisition financing, and incremental debt facilitiesSupport business units with capital market solutions to managing liquidity levels and strengthen overall financial position Other Illustrative Projects Balance sheet optimization programsRating agency strategy and engagementGlobal financing structure improvementsDebt covenant renegotiationsShareholder capital return analysisMentor and develop treasury team members to build technical expertise and leadership capabilities Executive Communication & Governance Prepare materials and analysis for Board of Directors, CFO, and executive leadership regarding capital markets strategyCommunicate market insights and financing recommendations to senior leadershipEnsure compliance with all regulations related to capital markets transactions and corporate governance
Qualifications:
12+ years of relevant experience in capital markets and project finance in a corporate or banking environment with global exposure, with 3+ years in a leadership role. Corporate FP&A experience a plusStrong knowledge of capital markets, project financing, factoring and supply chain finance, debt financingExperience supporting large public companies ($5B+ revenue) or advising them through investment banking or capital markets rolesDemonstrated track record executing complex financing transactions Technical Expertise Debt capital markets structuringLeveraged finance and syndicated lendingCredit rating agency managementCapital structure modelingCorporate finance and financial modelingDebt covenant analysisInterest rate and credit market dynamics Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field requiredMBA or CFA preferred Leadership & Competencies Strong capital markets judgment and market timing insightAbility to operate effectively with executive leadership and Board membersExceptional analytical, problem solving, decision making and financial modeling capabilitiesStrong external relationship management with banks, investors, and rating agenciesStrategic mindset with ability to lead cross-functional finance initiativesTeam player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives, peers, junior members, investors, and external partnersAdept at identifying priorities, taking initiative and ownershipHighly organized, hands-on and detail orientedAbility to recognize...
