ControllerConfidential Opportunity | Professional Services FirmOverviewA growing, employee-oriented professional services organization is seeking a Controller to serve as a key member of the leadership team. This individual will oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls, while partnering closely with leadership to drive business performance.

This is a highly visible role responsible for both hands-on accounting leadership and strategic financial support within a project-based environment.

ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & ReportingLead the full-cycle accounting function, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assetsOversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAPPrepare accurate financial statements and deliver timely reporting to leadershipDevelop dashboards and reporting around key metrics such as margin, utilization, and cash flowProvide regular reporting packages to executive leadership and operational stakeholdersProject Accounting & Operational SupportOversee project setup, revenue recognition, WIP, and job cost reportingPartner with project leaders to analyze profitability, backlog, and billing performanceMonitor key performance indicators (DSO, utilization, margins, write-ups/downs)Support continuous improvement in project financial processes and systemsBilling & Cash FlowOversee client invoicing and ensure alignment with contract termsManage AR collections and maintain strong cash flow forecastingPartner with leadership on pricing and financial assumptions for new workInternal Controls & ComplianceMaintain strong internal controls and support audit readinessLead external audits, tax filings, and compliance activitiesEnsure adherence to applicable regulatory requirementsBudgeting & Strategic PlanningLead annual budgeting and forecasting processesSupport long-range planning, scenario modeling, and performance analysisProvide insights to leadership to support decision-making and growth initiativesLeadershipLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting teamPartner cross-functionally with operations to improve financial outcomesPromote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
