Position Overview This role is intentionally structured as a training ground for a future finance leader , giving the right candidate direct exposure to the full finance function along with meaningful involvement in operational and strategic decision-making. Reporting to the CFO, this individual will gain hands-on exposure across all aspects of finance, accounting, and operational performance. We are a lean, highly collaborative organization where finance plays a critical role in driving business decisions, not just reporting results. The right candidate will be equally comfortable digging into the details while building forward-looking analysis that influences strategy. What You'll Own Lead key components of the monthly close, forecasting, and annual budgeting process Develop and enhance product margin and cost analysis, identifying actionable opportunities to improve profitability Build and maintain multi-period financial models to support strategic and operational decisions Partner with operations to analyze performance drivers across products, customers, and processes Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, systems, and financial processes in a largely paperless environment Support and eventually take ownership of banking, audit, and external financial relationships Create meaningful KPI reporting and dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making Act as a key financial resource to leadership, providing insights—not just reports What Success Looks Like (12-24 Months) Develop a comprehensive understanding of profitability drivers across products and customers, leveraging existing tools to generate actionable insights Refine and simplify financial models to support clearer, more effective decision-making Sustain an efficient close process while enhancing the quality and usefulness of financial reporting Strengthen forecasting through improved assumptions, modeling, and business alignment Gradually assume ownership of key finance functions and leadership interactions Serve as a proactive partner to operations, connecting financial results to business performance What We're Looking For 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting (manufacturing strongly preferred) Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting Experience with cost accounting, inventory, and margin analysis Strong systems orientation (ERP experience (Plex System); comfortable improving processes and tools) Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills Demonstrated ability to identify issues, solve problems, and drive change Comfortable operating in a lean, hands-on environment with high visibility Strong business acumen and ability to connect financial data to operational outcomes Why This Role Clear path to a finance leadership role with direct mentorship and exposure High-impact role with visibility to leadership Opportunity to shape processes, reporting, and systems Work in a nimble environment where your contributions directly influence results Additional Information Hybrid work flexibility available Minimal travel required Competitive compensation and bonus opportunity Long-term growth potential within the finance organizationn financial management.
