Tamaroff Automotive Group is a fast-growing multi-location automotive dealer in the Detroit, MI area with about 6 dealership sites in two nearby cities. Position Summary Our auto group client is seeking a producing Finance Director to oversee the Finance and Insurance (F&I) operations across 6 dealership sites, ensuring exceptional customer service, maximizing profitability, and maintaining strict compliance. This leader partners with the General Manager and General Sales Manager to drive performance through effective training, standardized processes, and strong departmental development. The ideal candidate is a process-driven, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Leadership:
Lead the F&I operations across 6 dealership sites.
Results-Oriented:
Expected to be hands-on and producing deals
Profitability:
Maximize F&I revenue through product sales (e.g., warranties, GAP insurance) while monitoring metrics like PVR and product penetration.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, conducting regular audits to mitigate risk.
Process Improvement:
Standardize and optimize F&I procedures for consistent customer experiences across dealerships (TO, menus, training, etc.).
Customer Experience:
Deliver transparent, professional service to enhance customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
Vendor Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with lenders and product vendors when needed.
Travel Requirements:
On-site at stores Monday through Saturday (within a 25-minute commutable radius).
Hours :
Monday through Friday 9AM-6PM and Saturday 10AM-3PM Qualifications Minimum of 5-10+ years of experience as a hands-on Finance Manager or Finance Director. Multi-location experience highly preferred. Proven experience closing a high volume of F&I deals and working closely with sales teams. Proven track record of delivering impactful F&I training and mentoring. Experience leading, building, and developing a high-performing finance department with measurable results. Proven track record of improving operational processes for business efficiency. Exceptional ability to translate complex financial data into clear actionable insights. Proven record of exceeding performance goals, tracking KPIs, and reporting performance metrics to senior leadership. Strong knowledge of F&I compliance, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency with CDK and Dealertrack automotive software. MUST be willing to be hands-on and highly collaborative. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.

Range:
