Onsite About the Opportunity We are partnering with a well-established manufacturer of precision machined parts and components for the Aerospace and Defense Industry. Located in Troy, Michigan, Triple Inc. (https://www.tripleinc.com/) has been an industry leader for more than 75 years. This organization is known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and long-term customer partnerships. They are seeking a Finance Controller to join their team in an onsite role and serve as a key member of the company's management team. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position plays a critical role in overseeing accounting operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring financial compliance and accuracy across the organization. The Finance Controller will provide strategic financial reporting and insights that will help guide leadership decisions, support continued growth, and enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and cash flow and banking oversight. Ensure financial transactions are accurate, properly recorded, and completed in a timely manner. Prepare and deliver financial reporting and analysis to support informed business decisions. Lead, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team, two direct reports. Collaborate with department leaders to provide financial insight and identify opportunities for process improvement. Manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations and preparation of financial statements. Analyze monthly financial results, identify variances, and provide clear explanations and reporting to leadership. Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financial planning activities. Lead the year-end close process and coordinate with external auditors. Oversee tax preparation and compliance in coordination with third-party providers or the company's CPA firm. Oversee R&D tax credit reporting. Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Ensure timely completion of physical inventory counts (monthly, quarterly, and annually) including raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication, leadership, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a team-oriented environment. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA or Master's degree preferred. Experience working with ERP systems in a finance or manufacturing environment (Global Shop experience is a plus). Proven experience managing accounting operations in a multi-plant machining or manufacturing environment with annual sales of $20M or more. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial statement preparation and reporting, preferably within a manufacturing setting. General familiarity with Quality Management Systems is preferred, particularly AS9100.
