We serve customers across Minnesota and Western Wisconsin, supporting dealers, broadliners, and end users. We are focused on improving financial visibility, accountability, and operational performance across the company. The Role We are hiring a Controller to take full ownership of our financial operations and bring structure, accuracy, and accountability to the business. This is not a passive reporting role. We are looking for a hands-on leader who will: Establish financial discipline Eliminate guesswork Build reliable systems and processes Provide clear, actionable visibility into the business You will oversee accounting operations and partner directly with leadership to ensure decisions are based on accurate and timely financial data. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Accuracy Own the integrity of all financial reporting Ensure accurate and timely month-end close Maintain a clean and reliable general ledger Eliminate misapplied funds, write-offs without explanation, and inconsistencies A/R, A/P, and Cash Management Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash application Monitor A/R aging and drive accountability on collections Ensure payments are applied correctly and consistently Process Improvement & Systems Identify and fix breakdowns in billing, collections, and financial workflows Implement clear, repeatable processes across accounting functions Improve how service work flows into accurate and timely billing Reporting & Visibility Provide weekly visibility into key financial metrics, including A/R and cash flow Deliver clear monthly financials with actionable insights Partner with leadership to support better decision-making Team Leadership Oversee billing and accounting staff Set expectations for accuracy, accountability, and performance Develop team capabilities and enforce standards What Success Looks Like Clean, accurate financials with no surprises Strong control over A/R and cash flow Clear and consistent billing and collections processes Increased confidence in financial data across leadership A team that operates with accountability and precision Qualifications Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader Strong understanding of A/R, A/P, and cash application processes Experience building and improving financial systems and workflows High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Ability to identify problems, take initiative, and drive solutions Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred:
