fast-movingWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our pet food ingredient and trucking company's financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. As a key member of our finance team, you will oversee all accounting functions, manage compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic financial insights to support organizational growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence financial strategies within a fast moving, mission-driven organization, emphasizing accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in accounting principles and financial management software, along with a passion for driving operational excellence. Duties Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements. Manage all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing using software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness. Conduct cash management activities including forecasting, monitoring cash flow, and optimizing liquidity for operational needs. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, analysis, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and oversee audit processes to ensure timely completion. Develop budgets in coordination with department managers. Utilize advanced accounting to streamline processes and enhance financial data accuracy. Experience Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance official. Extensive knowledge of accounting standards including
IFRS, GAAP
accounting practices. Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, report writing, and account reconciliation techniques. Hands-on experience with financial management software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across teams. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
