Competitive base up to $200,000 + bonus Overview A private‑equity‑backed manufacturing company is seeking a seasoned US Controller to lead and stabilize its U.S. accounting operations during a period of meaningful change. The organization operates multiple manufacturing sites and is focused on strengthening financial discipline, improving close performance, and preparing the business for a future liquidity event. This role is designed for an experienced accounting leader who wants real ownership, not just oversight. You will be the primary point of accountability for U.S. accounting and will work closely with operations and senior leadership in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment. What You'll Be Responsible For End‑to‑end ownership of U.S. accounting, including GL, trial balance, and financial close Leadership of month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes Oversight of accounting functions supporting manufacturing operations and corporate activities Direct management and development of general accounting, AP/AR, and cost accounting teams Identification and resolution of close issues, reconciliations, and legacy process gaps Drive continuous improvement in controls, systems, and accounting workflows Partner with operations leaders to improve cost visibility and financial accuracy Ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness in a private‑equity environment The Ideal Candidate Has served as a Controller or senior accounting leader in a manufacturing environment Brings deep experience in cost accounting and operational finance Has owned a full month‑end close and understands what it takes to fix broken processes Is comfortable operating in ambiguity and under time pressure Leads from the front and isn't afraid to get into the details Can mentor and elevate a developing accounting team Preferred Backgrounds Private‑equity‑backed or sponsor‑owned companies Multi‑plant manufacturing organizations Business consolidations, reorganizations, or ERP/process improvement efforts #
