Job Description

FINANCE DIRECTOR
The City of Osseo is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as our Finance Director. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing all municipal financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, audits, enterprise funds, and long-range financial planning. The Finance Director works closely with the City Administrator and City Council to ensure the City's financial stability and compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations. This position also supervises finance staff and provides oversight of specialized municipal enterprise operations, including cannabis retail. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field and have at least five years of progressively responsible accounting, finance, or public finance experience. Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred, and experience with municipal or governmental accounting is strongly desired. A CPA designation or master's degree is also preferred.
