Controller Alliant Casting, LLC - Winona, MN About Alliant Casting Alliant Casting is a growing metal casting manufacturer serving a diverse customer base with high-quality cast products and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a hands-on financial leader to join our management team and help guide the company's next phase of growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in a privately held manufacturing business where finance is closely integrated with operations, sales, and strategic decision-making. Position Summary The Controller is responsible for all financial and accounting functions of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, cash flow management, internal controls, and strategic financial analysis. This individual will serve as a trusted business partner to the President and ownership team while providing leadership for the accounting function and supporting operational excellence throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership Lead all accounting and finance activities for the company. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions. Present financial results and key performance indicators to senior leadership. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting Maintain and improve product costing and inventory valuation processes. Analyze manufacturing performance, labor efficiency, scrap, yield, and overhead absorption. Partner with operations leadership to identify cost reduction and profitability improvement opportunities. Monitor inventory controls and cycle count programs. Support capital expenditure analysis and investment decisions. Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and lender reporting requirements. Develop and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes. Manage banking relationships and insurance reporting requirements. Team & Process Improvement Lead and mentor accounting personnel. Improve financial reporting systems and processes. Support ERP and technology initiatives. Participate as a key member of the management team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Manufacturing experience required; foundry or industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing operations. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. Proven leadership and team development skills. Advanced Excel and ERP system experience. $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
