Divisional/Plant Controller

We are looking for an experienced Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team in Belton, Missouri. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining cost accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong expertise in manufacturing accounting to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities:

Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate completion. Manage manufacturing cost accounting activities, including analysis and reporting. Implement and maintain cost accounting systems to support operational and financial decision-making. Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics. Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations related to financial reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost efficiency and improve processes. Supervise and guide accounting staff, fostering growth and development. Monitor and analyze financial trends to support strategic planning and forecasting. Provide guidance on controllership practices and policies to maintain financial integrity. Proven experience in month-end close activities, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and cost analysis. Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial reports. Demonstrated expertise in controllership and financial management practices. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights. Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders. Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance standards. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
