Assistant Controller Blue Springs, MO (Local Candidates Preferred) We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join the team of a leading manufacturing company in Blue Springs, MO. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in driving financial performance, reporting accuracy, and operational success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Previous experience in accounting, finance, or plant controlling within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to learn new ERP systems. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and build effective relationships throughout the organization. Fluent English communication skills required. Key Responsibilities Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities. Analyze and report plant financial performance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain and monitor standard costing, inventory controls, and financial reporting systems. Partner with operations, purchasing, quality, and supply chain teams to provide financial insight and support business decisions. Assist with cash flow management, capital expenditures, inventory controls, and supplier debit recovery activities. Maintain fixed asset records and ensure proper accounting treatment of capital investments. Support internal controls, audits, and compliance initiatives. Collaborate with shared service teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
