QuickBooks Senior leadership Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our finance department with energy and precision. This pivotal role involves overseeing all financial operations for a property management and construction company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial management and demonstrate accuracy in financial processes. Responsibilities Manage comprehensive financial activities including general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Manage, direct, and train the accounting team. Ensure adherence to accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory requirements. Oversee financial budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including account analysis and account reconciliation. Supervise the use of accounting software such as Yardi and QuickBooks, Builder Trend, and other financial management tools to streamline operations. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and prepare detailed reports on financial performance for stakeholders. Implement continuous improvements in financial processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all departments. Experience Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role within the real estate, property management, and/or construction entities preferred. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP, and specific standards relevant to business-related accounting environments. Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, account reconciliation, budget development, forecasting techniques, and financial report writing. Hands-on experience with Yardi and/or QuickBooks accounting software and/or BuilderTrend. Ability to interpret complex financial concepts clearly and communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership. Experience managing teams responsible for accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, regulatory reporting, and general ledger reconciliation is highly desirable.
