Finance Job Summary:
Leads and directs an organization's finance and accounting functions. Establishes and maintains the organization's overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies. Directs and oversees all analysis and reporting of financial information including budgets, planning, and required filings and reports. Presents findings and makes recommendations to CFO and Executive Team. Manages finance/accounting and billing departmental functions. Develops major goals to support overall operational strategies and approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments (AP, Payroll, bookkeeping, etc.) Job Relationships Reports to: CFO Consultant and CEO Responsible to: CEO, Executive Team, and Board of Directors (through the direction of CFO consultant) Collaborates with: Leadership Team, Finance Dept., and the Business Office Core Processes and Activities Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
  • Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general and entity accounting and bookkeeping, cost accounting and operational accounting.
  • Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records for CFO, Executive Team, and Board of directors.
  • Assure financial plans are viable and consistent with organizational goals and approved FY budget.
  • Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company initiatives, investments and/or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc., as directed by CFO.
  • Assist in managing commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under highly competitive terms.
  • Work closely with CFO and Executive Team in the development and economic evaluation of various fringe benefit programs for staff and program components
  • Interface with outside audit firm(s), banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), credit card companies and collection agencies as directed by CFO.
  • Demonstrate a visionary and leadership role on behalf of Administration to all departments, helping to create a trusted, well-respected team Supervisor overall financial operations/functions.
  • Other duties may be directed by the CFO. Education, Experience and Skills In order to function effectively and efficiently in this position, the following education, experience, and skills are required:
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from accredited college or university, master's degree preferred; five or more years of accounting/finance related.
  • Experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA license is preferred but not required for this position.
  • Broad, working knowledge of hospital administration.
  • Must be well-organized and adept at prioritizing workload.
  • Language and Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive finance/accounting inquiries and issues.
  • Effective and persuasive presentation skills on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and/or board of directors.
  • Able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy along with ample confidence in abilities to influence positive outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of hospital finance
  • Demonstrated ability in producing clear, accurate and proficient financial reports.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and fostering working business relationships with vendors, banking institutions, and executive team clients.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
  • Must be able to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and be able to maintain confidentiality in all business interactions that take place within the administrative team.
  • Must be trustworthy and dependable.

  • Work environment is within varying degrees of temperature (heated or air conditioned)
  • Position can require sitting or standing for long hours and using office equipment, and computers, which can cause muscle and eye strain.
  • Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers; ability to speak, hear and see must be within normal limits. Conditions of Employment

  • Individual must complete the annual Relias E-Learning program in allotted timeframe and attend all ICMC required training classes as directed by immediate supervisor.

Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
