This leadership role involves developing policies, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and coordinating with various departments to facilitate student access to financial resources. HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN A FINANCIAL AID
ROLE and possess strong financial expertise, leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of education administration to support students' financial needs effectively. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee financial aid policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. Manage the entire loan processing cycle, including application review, disbursement, and reconciliation. Lead a team of financial aid staff, providing training and supervision to ensure efficient operations. Collaborate with admissions, registrar, and other administrative departments to coordinate financial aid services. Conduct regular financial analysis to monitor program effectiveness and ensure compliance with funding requirements. Maintain accurate records using systems such as PeopleSoft and Ellucian to track student aid awards and disbursements. Ensure timely communication with students regarding their financial aid status and requirements. Prepare reports for institutional leadership and regulatory agencies as required. Stay updated on changes in education finance policies and adjust procedures accordingly. Skills
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS FINANCIAL AID EXPERIENCE WITHIN A COLLEGE SETTING
Strong background in accounting principles and financial analysis techniques. Proficiency with Ellucian, PeopleSoft, or similar student information systems. Experience with education administration and managing federal/state financial aid programs. Knowledge of loan processing procedures and compliance standards. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and external agencies. Solid mathematical skills for analyzing financial data and preparing reports. Leadership abilities to manage teams effectively and implement process improvements. Ability to interpret complex regulations related to financial services within an educational setting. #nm
