Our client is seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as a strategic partner to ownership while leading the company's accounting and finance function. This role is responsible for financial strategy, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and business planning to support continued growth. The ideal candidate combines strong financial leadership with a hands-on approach and enjoys partnering with operations to drive business performance in a growing construction organization. Key Responsibilities Partner with ownership to develop and execute financial strategies that support growth and profitability Lead all accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and payroll oversight Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting Develop financial models, forecasts, and KPI reporting to support executive decision-making Manage banking relationships, cash flow, and financing activities Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures Lead annual audits, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and operational efficiencies Mentor and develop the accounting team while fostering accountability and continuous improvement Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership on financial, operational, and strategic initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience Construction industry experience required Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Experience with construction accounting software; Spectrum experience preferred CPA preferred Proven leadership, strategic planning, analytical, and communication skills
