Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description We are seeking a Controller to lead all accounting functions for an industrial construction and services contractor. This onsite role directs high-level financial operations, oversees the accounting team, and ensures accurate, compliant reporting across the organization. The position strengthens internal controls, supports budgeting and analysis, and maintains the financial structure that guides company decisions. Key Responsibilities Oversee core accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. Support department development by identifying training needs and coordinating training efforts. Manage recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding for accounting staff. Establish and maintain internal controls and documented financial procedures. Maintain accurate accounting policies and oversee controls for financial transactions. Direct the preparation of periodic financial reports in accordance with GAAP or IFRS. Recommend and monitor benchmarks that measure company performance. Prepare annual budgets and forecasts and report significant variances. Conduct financial analysis related to capital planning, pricing decisions, and contract considerations. Coordinate audit activities and serve as the primary contact for external auditors. Oversee quarterly and annual reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Travel as needed to support operational and financial activities. Support additional accounting or finance functions as required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration. CPA or CMA preferred. 10+ years of related accounting experience. Strong management and supervisory abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with accounting and tax preparation software; CMiC preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Compensation $100,000 to $150,000, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits package.
