Controller

Controller Beaufort, NC Mechanical Contracting Company based in Beaufort N.C. is actively seeking to fill the position of Controller. This is a full-time salaried position that requires professional interaction with owners, employees, accountants, clients, unions, vendors, sub-contractors, government, utility & insurance agencies. Applicant must have bachelor's degree in Business and/or Accounting and/or previous experience in Construction Controller and possess proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities :

The Controller is responsible for day-to-day company financial operations including maintaining office systems and supervising staff.

Job Duties:

Responsible for month end processes, reconciliations, and internal reporting to ensure accurate financial accounting Have complete ownership of the Balance Sheet- review GL reconciliations and workbooks for accuracy etc. Preparation of Account Payable & Receivable Reports including Collections, daily processing, tracking incoming & outgoing invoices. Weekly Certified Payroll, Union Reports, WIP Reports, Insurance Documents, Employee Benefits preparation including Weekly Job Cost & Payroll Data requirements. Maintaining employee certification & qualification records, processing new hires, separations, and change in status. Compliance with the company's policies and standard operating procedures related to new project start up requirements, billing, & job cost analysis for labor & materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proficient accounting & computer skills in Quick Books, AIA Billing & Contracts, Microsoft Office 365, Word, Outlook, and Excel, tracking Project costs, delegation, staffing development, and following company standard operating procedures. Preferred bachelor's degree in Business and/or Accounting, and/or previous experience holding a similar position in the Construction Industry. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Beaufort, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Comprehensive benefits package.
