Assistant Controller - PF

WEAVERCOOKE

(WCC) is currently looking for an Assistant Controller to contribute to the overall growth of the company and its sister company, Phoenix Framing of NC. This position will report directly to WEAVERCOOKE's Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This position is multi-faceted and will require an independent learning capacity as well as a background in several skill sets. Finance/Accounting Job Responsibilities for Phoenix Framing of NC (PF): Maintain relationships and communications with the company, clients, sub-contractors, and vendors Accounts Receivable (Pay Apps, collections, and accounting for A/R) Accounts Payable (Subcontractor and trade invoices as well as Overhead invoices) Create and record payroll journal entries weekly Create and record Project Managers' time to jobs monthly Work closely with Assistant Project Manager in Inventory tracking and reconciliation, including monthly counts Track Company-owned equipment and equipment rental costs to jobs Create and post daily and monthly journal entries into the ERP system Reconcile and record Corporate Credit Card charges and maintain supporting records (receipts, etc.) Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts (including cash) monthly Assist CFO in the month end close of financials Create new processes to improve financial efficiency Administer and maintain PF's Procore and monitor financial job costing for completeness Monitor and reconcile daily PF's Procore and ERP interface Assist CFO with monthly job cost projections meetings with VP of PF, WCC President, PF Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager Other duties as assigned by

CFO Position Requirements:

You should have general knowledge of accounting and accounting platforms, be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and experience with Procore. This key accounting position requires a proactive team player with excellent communication skills who can effectively communicate with all employees of the company. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in accounting or other related fields, or 3-5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry Detail and deadline-oriented Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Job costing/construction accounting experience preferred Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams across departments
