Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our organization's financial operations with precision and strategic insight. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive financial reporting excellence. Your expertise will support our mission to maintain transparent, accurate, and timely financial information that informs decision-making and promotes sustainable growth. Duties Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory requirements. Lead the preparation of accurate financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings with clarity and precision. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and month-end/year-end closing processes to maintain data integrity. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to policies, including SOX compliance. Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity planning. Coordinate external audits, liaise with auditors, and facilitate audit processes efficiently. Drive continuous improvement in financial systems by utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives to inform strategic planning. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical accounting standards like GAAP and IFRS to ensure accurate application across all financial activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of financial concepts including double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis. Extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as
GAAP, IFRS, SOX
compliance standards, governmental accounting practices, and non-profit accounting principles. Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing and analysis for diverse stakeholders. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar tools; experience with financial management systems is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and balance sheet management. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Knowledge of cash management strategies including forecasting and liquidity planning is highly desirable. Join us as a Financial Controller to lead our financial excellence journey!
