Divisional/Plant Controller

We are looking for a skilled Divisional/Plant Controller to join our team in Salisbury, North Carolina. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee financial operations and contribute to the success of a manufacturing environment. The role requires a hands-on approach to cost accounting, forecasting, and inventory management, with a commitment to maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Manage site-level accounting operations, focusing on cost centers rather than revenue centers. Oversee manufacturing cost accounting processes, including bill of materials (BOM) and inventory management. Conduct month-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting. Develop and maintain rolling forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Handle capital management and monitor asset inventory effectively. Lead financial reviews, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. Collaborate with centralized accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to optimize financial workflows. Drive the completion of project closings and ensure timely forecasting updates. Provide support during the transition to updated financial systems. Act as the sole accounting resource on-site, ensuring all financial operations are managed seamlessly. Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. Strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and controllership. Proficiency in handling month-end close processes and financial reporting. Familiarity with bill of materials (BOM) and asset inventory management. Proven ability to manage rolling forecasts and capital projects. Experience with ERP systems, including transitioning between versions. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams.
