Competitive compensation package Our client is a leading manufacturer. They are seeking an Assistant Plant Controller to support the Controller in managing all financial operations within the plant. This role plays a critical part in cost accounting, financial reporting, and operational analysis, while partnering closely with plant leadership to drive performance and continuous improvement. What you'll be doing:

• Support the Plant Controller in all aspects of financial stewardship for the facility
• Perform cost accounting, including BOM analysis, variance reporting, and inventory control
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll audit (including union considerations), and general ledger accuracy
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and operating performance metrics
• Partner with plant leadership to translate financial data into actionable insights
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across operations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis What you'll need:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing
• Strong cost accounting expertise
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, analytics)
