Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the Company's financial systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing financial insight to support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk. Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other applicable reporting standards. Establish and monitor key performance benchmarks to evaluate organizational financial performance. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and provide variance analysis to management. Conduct financial analysis related to capital investments, pricing strategies, profitability, and contract negotiations. Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors. Manage multi-state business registrations, filings, and compliance requirements. Prepare and submit required quarterly and annual reports to state agencies as applicable. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Support executive leadership with financial reporting, analysis, and strategic recommendations. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of three to five years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency with accounting, tax preparation, and financial management software. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience. Preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. Experience in the construction, design-build, or related industries.
