Job Description

SUMMARY :
The Controller is responsible for overseeing daily transactional accounting, for general accounting and month end closing activities, for completing and/or reviewing certain balance sheet reconciliations, for preparing month end financial statements, and for performing other analyses upon request. Along with the CFO, the position is responsible for maintaining an adequate system of accounting controls and records, and for ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The position supervises Accounting Manager, AR and AP roles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee the operations of the accounting department including the monthly closing process Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures Issue timely and complete financial statements Monthly reporting to lenders Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to CFO Provide financial analyses as needed Assist in preparation of annual operating budgets and monthly forecasts
QUALIFICATIONS
: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in accounting Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in corporate or public accounting. Experience in corporate accounting preferred. At least 1 year of previous managerial experience Ability to perform the essential functions listed above Strong Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI, and SQL skillset Manufacturing experience preferred.
