Responsible for complex projects related to application of tax laws. Maintains complete and accurate tax records, prepares reports, and provides recommendations. The position will spend a significant amount of time leading and developing the tax staff, building relationships with management throughout the organization and driving the function's strategic plan. Minimum 10 years related experience. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Maintain staff on multiple teams by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities. Accomplish staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Serve as a business partner with other members of Tax Accounting Team, as well as broader Tax, Finance & Business Teams Serve as the primary contact for federal tax issues, accounting and audits Develop, maintain and understand a repeatable process for monthly and quarterly income tax provision processes Network with members of the Corporate Controllers' Group, other corporate groups and business groups to ensure that the Tax Team has the necessary knowledge of activities to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting Understand and ensure accurate and timely accounting for federal, state, local and foreign taxes based on the Company's business operations and tax laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company operates Understand and maintain adequate workpapers and memos to document positions taken on federal returns Network with other members of the Tax Team to ensure they are receiving the information they need to accurately and timely complete their processes Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with the internal audit firm Constructively challenge positions taken on federal return, audit and tax accounting Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required Advanced degree (MBA/JD, etc) and Certification (CPA) preferred 10 years of professional experience in federal tax and tax accounting, with a mixture of corporation and private practice preferred Previous experience managing multiple teams required Strong communication skills Demonstrated knowledge of SAP and related financial accounting tools Demonstrated leadership skills Demonstrated knowledge of the federal tax law Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP for tax accounting Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment Exemplary ability to manage people and processes Experience identifying, improving and maintaining internal controls Proficiencies in using, managing and improving tax systems including OneSource, MS Office applications and on-line research tools Ability to project a professional appearance, attitude and maturity, influences others through ideas and knowledge Number of Days in

Compensation Pay Range:
$135,000
  • 200,000 The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position.
An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
