Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our accounting processes. As a key member of our team, you will drive operational excellence and foster a culture of transparency and accountability. Responsibilities Manage the daily accounting operations of the law firm, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting. Perform timely bank and credit card reconciliations; identify and resolve reconciliation differences. Process invoice payments; create checks. Dispute invoices and/or credit card transactions Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Manage the firm's financial reporting process and ensure that all financial information is accurate and up-to-date. Maintain and update the firm's accounting software and other financial systems. Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Performs other accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors in accounting, finance, or related field. Minimum of 5-7+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and accrual accounting. Advanced QuickBooks user. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and senior management. Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
