Controller, Mercer County, NJA well-established manufacturing company in Central New Jersey is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee its finance and accounting operations. Position OverviewWe are looking for a driven Accounting & Finance leader to manage the full financial function of a growing manufacturing business. This individual will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, lead a small team, and partner closely with ownership to provide financial insights, operational guidance, and continuous process improvements. This is a highly visible role with broad responsibility across accounting, reporting, and analysis.

Accounting & Financial OversightOversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reportingLead and actively participate in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processEnsure financial statements are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAPMaintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworksCost & Inventory AccountingManage cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysisPartner with operations to evaluate production costs and identify efficienciesMonitor inventory levels, reserves, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracyTeam LeadershipSupervise and develop a team of 2-4 accounting professionalsProvide daily direction, manage priorities, and drive accountability across thePromote a collaborative, high-performance team cultureReporting & AnalysisPrepare and present financial reporting and analysis to ownershipDeliver insights on financial performance, profitability, and key cost dSupport budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiativesAudit & ComplianceAct as the primary liaison for external driversLead the annual audit process and ensure timely completionMaintain compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements
