Job Description

Robert Half is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Glens Falls area seeking a hands-on Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations. This on-site role will oversee day-to-day accounting while providing strategic financial insight to support plant and company leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger oversight Lead cost accounting and inventory management, including standard costing, variance analysis, and margin reporting Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts Partner with operations leadership to drive cost control, efficiency improvements, and financial performance Oversee A/P, A/R, and day to day accounting functions; supervise and develop accounting staff Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls; coordinate audits and tax filings
Salary Range:
$120,000 - $135,000 + additional bonus potential Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA/CMA preferred. At least 7 years of accounting experience, including substantial exposure to manufacturing environments. Demonstrated background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial analysis. Prior leadership experience with the ability to manage responsibilities directly while supervising staff. Strong proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities. Solid understanding of month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation. Knowledge of internal controls, variance analysis, and cash management practices.
