CONTROLLER
Our client, a large physician group is hiring a Controller.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop accounting team, ensuring accountability, growth and high performance.
  • Adherence to all accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies across the organization.
  • Address tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including data entry.
  • Financial reporting including monthly closings, financial statement preparation & reporting
  • Manage cash flow and work closely with Executive Leadership to ensure appropriate funding is available to meet all requirements, providing cash projections and daily cash flow reports.
  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial planning,
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets.
  • Perform monthly budget variance analysis to ensure compliance with operational budget
  • Develop financial business plans and forecasts, as needed.
  • Perform bank account reconciliation.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet and maintain supporting schedules.
  • General Ledger maintenance and journal entries.
  • Assure compliance with all short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projections.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function.
  • Responsible for oversight, management, and processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting
  • Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
  • Collaborate with the director of revenue cycle as needed to support cash collection
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience required
  • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills to include, word, outlook, excel, payroll system, ADP preferred, and accounting software experience.
