Ensures Credit Union compliance by adhering to all regulations, policies and procedures. Monitors department procedures and serves as a resource for all aspects of Credit Union finance and accounting.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsible for the standard internal and external financial reporting of the credit union, including the quarterly
NCUA 5300
report Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the budget and business plan Ensure accounting records and reports are in compliance with GAAP and government regulations. Manage credit union investment accounting activities. Serve as credit union liaison with credit union regulatory examiners and auditors Measures and guides financial performance, including driving the budgetary process and ensuring alignment to business objectives as well as analyzing and reporting financial performance metrics to management Functions as project manager on departmental and/or organization wide projects. Contributes expertise in his/her assigned area, executes deliverables and ensures that the Project Team completes project deliverables as outlines based on project scope and business requirements Effectively delegates authority, responsibilities and tasks. Continually manages the accounting team structure to align with business needs and strategic objectives including the identification and development of future potential successors. Maintains accounting staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job performance Identifies and implements workflow efficiencies on a continual basis Performs additional duties as required

Educational/ Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university Five years prior experience in accounting, preferably in a banking or credit union environment Knowledge of FASB, GAAP and other accounting standards and compliance requirements Experience with asset liability management Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Thorough knowledge of financial institution accounting concepts, practices, and financial reports
Compensation:
