Job Description
Description Robert Half is looking for an experienced Interim Assistant Controller to support our client in the Rochester, NY area for the next 2-3 months. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, with a strong background in financial management and reporting, and who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic work environment. As part of a growing organization, you will play a key role in overseeing month-end processes, budgeting, and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining consistency and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic financial planning.
- Monitor the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce detailed financial statements and audits.
- Utilize Dynamics and Power BI software to streamline reporting and analysis.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects as needed. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proficiency in month-end close processes, journal entry preparation, and general ledger management.
- Strong expertise in budgeting and forecasting.
- Ability to produce accurate financial statements and audits.
- Familiarity with Power BI preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team.
