Controller About Us We are a fast-growing residential service company serving homeowners throughout Westchester and Fairfield Counties. With a strong reputation for quality and customer service, we are entering our next stage of growth. We are looking for a hands-on Controller who can bring financial clarity, operational insight, and scalable processes to support our continued expansion. Position Overview The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations of the company. This role is both strategic and hands-on, and ideal for someone who thrives in a growing, entrepreneurial environment. You will work directly with ownership and leadership to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership Oversee monthly close process and produce timely, accurate financial statements Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance (revenue, gross margin, labor efficiency, job costing, etc.) Provide financial analysis to support pricing, compensation plans, and growth initiatives Accounting & Compliance Manage AR/AP, payroll, and general ledger Ensure accurate job costing and revenue recognition Coordinate with CPA firm on year-end review/tax filings Operational Support Improve systems, controls, and processes Support inventory management and purchasing controls Assist with financing relationships and banking Prepare the company for scalable growth (systems, processes, potential acquisitions) Qualifications 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in home services, construction, or field service industries Strong understanding of job costing and service-based revenue models Extensive experience with QuickBooks Advanced Excel skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance What Success Looks Like Clean, timely monthly financials delivered by the 10th of each month Clear visibility into job profitability and technician performance Scalable systems that support growth beyond $10M Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance-based bonus Health benefits Paid time off
