$125,000 - $135,000 / year Position Overview An established Westchester County financial services firm is seeking a hands-on Controller/CFO to oversee daily financial operations, corporate accounting, and human resources. This dual-function role manages a small internal accounting staff and acts as a trusted advisor to ownership and external partners.
Key Responsibilities Financial Oversight:
Manage cash receipts, disbursement journals, and internal controls for a 20-30 person company.
Reporting & Compliance:
Partner with the external CPA on corporate tax returns and bank covenant agreements.
Auditing:
Review and verify monthly agency reports from insurance, brokerage, and fee companies.
HR & Payroll:
Process bi-weekly payroll, bonuses, and benefits internally and through third-party administrators.
Contracts & Billing:
Maintain procurement agreements and resolve staff or vendor billing discrepancies.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 3 years of specialized experience as a Controller/CFO or 7+ years as a Senior Accountant.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in GAAP, automated accounting systems, and advanced numerical analysis.
Capability:
