SMV Recruiting is partnering with a fast-growing, locally owned technology integration company based in Syracuse, NY to find their next Controller. This is a culture-first organization operating in multiple locations. They are in growth mode and looking for a strong accounting leader who can build a well-oiled team, modernize processes, and help take the finance function to the next level.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial operations including accurate and timely payments, collections, and reporting Prepare monthly financial statements and maintain up-to-date financial forecasts Lead collections clean-up and establish sustainable, scalable processes Manage transition from QuickBooks Online to Kaseya and AutoTask Oversee sales tax compliance and reporting Identify current financial issues and challenges and present solutions to leadership proactively Communicate financial performance clearly and consistently across the organization Build, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team across multiple branches

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA strongly preferred Proven experience managing accounting functions in a multi-location environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to build a team, set expectations, and drive results QuickBooks Online experience required Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills Experience in a fast-growing or entrepreneurial environment preferred Familiarity with Kaseya or AutoTask a plus New York State sales tax experience a plus

Benefits:

$80,000 - $100,000 base salary Full benefits package Up to 6% 401K match
