The Assistant Controller is a key financial role responsible for supporting the Controller in managing the organization's financial operations. This position contributes to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Reconcile and analyze financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Collaborate with the Controller in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
Assist in the management of the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
Participate in financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
Support the Controller in special projects and initiatives as needed.

Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulations.Proficient in financial analysis and reporting.
Effective communication skills to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Meticulous attention to detail in financial records and reporting.

Accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and analysis.
Effectiveness in managing day-to-day accounting operations.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Inacct experience preferred.
Experience with audit processes and working with external auditors.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and ethical conduct in financial practices.
Must maintain pre-employment clearances by applicable regulatory clearances as required.
Legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Special Considerations:
Employee may be sitting, performing computer work for extended periods of time.Hours per week, reporting structure, and location are subject to change per program needs.
