Job Description

Controller - CRDeals Position Summary CRDeals is seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to oversee all accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls for our growing multi-location retail organization. The Controller will work directly with ownership to provide accurate financial information, improve operational performance, and support strategic growth initiatives. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and can balance day-to-day accounting responsibilities with high-level financial analysis. Responsibilities Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Produce accurate store-level profit and loss statements. Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity needs. Oversee bank reconciliations and account reconciliations. Manage inventory accounting and valuation. Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Monitor labor costs and key retail performance metrics. Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, lenders, and tax professionals. Assist ownership with acquisitions, financing, expansion planning, and special projects. Supervise and develop accounting staff. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local reporting requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred but not required. 5+ years of accounting leadership experience. Multi-location retail experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of inventory accounting. Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills. Experience with ERP, POS, and payroll systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Experience Retail, liquidation, discount retail, or distribution experience. Multi-entity accounting. Cash flow management in high-growth environments. Experience working with lenders and banking relationships. Inventory-intensive business operations. Key Performance Indicators Timely and accurate monthly financial statements. Inventory accuracy and controls. Cash flow forecasting accuracy. Labor cost reporting by location. Vendor payment management. Financial reporting delivered on schedule. $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
