Lewis Center, OH Salary:
$160,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year High-visibility Controller opportunity in Lewis Center for a finance leader with strong GAAP, multi-entity, and public accounting experience looking to step into a strategic CFO-facing role.
Requirements:
8-10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience (alignment with compensation range preferred) Prior experience in a Controller or similar senior accounting leadership role required Background in public accounting preferred, with experience in private and/or public sector accounting leadership Proven experience managing small accounting teams and financial operations Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls required Experience with multi-entity or multi-organization environments preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, small organization environment (50-75 employees total) Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required CPA preferred but not required
Job Duties:
Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and serve as a key financial leader within the organization Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations Manage and develop a small accounting team of approximately 4 staff members Ensure accurate and timely financial statements for multiple business entities Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes Support audits and work closely with external auditors and tax professionals Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to leadership Partner with leadership to support business decisions and operational improvements Ensure proper application of GAAP and financial reporting best practices Drive process improvements and efficiency within the accounting function Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial data
