Full Job Description Description:
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Steiner eOptics designs, manufactures, and markets high-performance optical systems for defense, tactical, and outdoor applications. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Beretta Holding, Steiner operates across U.S. and international markets with a commitment to precision manufacturing, rigorous quality standards, and strict regulatory compliance. The organization is at an active inflection point — investing in systems infrastructure, leadership depth, and the operational processes that will define its next decade of growth.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Senior Controller is the financial backbone of Steiner eOptics' U.S. manufacturing operations. This is first and foremost a technical accounting role — one that demands deep expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and the financial discipline required to support confident, accurate decision-making at the executive level. The immediate priority is closing the gap in manufacturing cost accounting support: building the analytical framework, the reporting accuracy, and the cross-functional relationships that allow operations and leadership to act on reliable numbers. A parallel near-term objective is contributing to the JDE ERP stabilization effort, which will underpin the organization's reporting and planning capabilities going forward. Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Controller holds primary responsibility for Ohio operations and provides financial oversight of the Ohio facility. This role also supervises the Controller and assumes financial leadership responsibilities commensurate with a senior individual contributor embedded in the operations of the business — not a back-office function.
