Job Description
Controller New Philadelphia, OH 44663 Full-time Full-time Overview GF Legacy, formerly Lauren International, is a private equity company that currently owns 5 small businesses in Northeast Ohio. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a thorough understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP and governmental accounting. As the Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing financial processes, leading the accounting team, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. The Controller will be a key member of the leadership team.
Responsibilities:
Excellent grasp of NetSuite, QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets Preparation of consolidating financial statements and monthly management reports Direct timely preparation of financial closing schedules and reports Work with the executive team to analyze financial issues impacting the Company and provide recommendations Compare performance with operating plans and budgets, interpret results of operations, and implement plans to address issues and further success Responsible for managing the Company's assets, including inventory processes and appropriations requests Work with the executive team to monitor operational performance by analyzing profitability, billings, collections, and write offs; ensure effective processes are in place Responsible for planning and budgeting, including preparation of the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and P&L by account Maintain and balance all corporate bank accounts; build strong and long-lasting banking relationships Supervise all accounting related functions including AP, AR, Payroll and other finance issues Work with the executive team to assist in the development of short-range and long-range business goals Help select carriers and manage insurance coverage for protection against property loses and health insuranceEducation and Skills :
BA or BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, CPA or CMA certification preferred Excellent communication and teambuilding skills Excellent analytical and organizational skills Salary will be based upon qualifications.
