Automotive Finance Director

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Automotive Finance Director to lead our dealership's financing operations with energy and expertise. Experience in Special Finance highly favored! In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of automotive financing, ensuring seamless loan processing, credit analysis, and customer relationship management. Your leadership will drive sales growth through effective upselling and negotiation, while maintaining compliance with industry regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act). This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the financial experience for our customers, foster strong dealer-customer relationships, and contribute to the dealership's overall success. Responsibilities Lead and manage the dealership's finance department, setting clear goals for loan approval rates, customer satisfaction, and sales performance Oversee loan officer activities, including loan processing, credit analysis, and contract preparation to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations Develop and implement strategies for upselling additional products such as extended warranties, insurance packages, and service plans to maximize revenue Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing transparent financial guidance, negotiating terms effectively, and ensuring a positive experience Collaborate with sales teams to facilitate smooth deal closures by coordinating title processing, document signing, and TILA disclosures Utilize financial software systems to track deals, generate reports, and analyze performance metrics for continuous improvement Ensure adherence to all legal requirements related to auto financing, including credit laws and fair lending practices Experience Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial services role within the automotive or dealership industry Strong background in credit analysis, contract negotiation, and loan processing procedures Familiarity with automotive sales processes and dealership operations Demonstrated ability in customer relationship management and upselling techniques Proficiency in financial software applications and basic math skills for accurate calculations (including 10 key typing) Knowledge of TILA regulations and title processing procedures is highly desirable Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence Previous experience in automobile sales or dealership finance departments is preferred Join us as an Automotive Finance Director to lead with energy, drive results through transparent financial practices, and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
