We serve defense, commercial, and industrial customers with high-quality, precision manufacturing. Our 21-person team operates with the speed and flexibility of a small company and the standards of a much larger one. The Opportunity We are looking for a hands-on Controller to own all financial operations and internal HR functions at SisTech. This is a high-impact role on a small team — you will work directly with company leadership and our private equity ownership, with broad visibility into business performance and meaningful influence over financial strategy, including ensuring the financial health of the organization. The right person thrives in a small-company environment where priorities shift, wears multiple hats comfortably, and takes pride in keeping the financial engine running cleanly. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & Reporting Own the integrity and consistency of financial statement reporting to meet the expectations of company leadership, the Board of Directors, and lending partners Develop and implement necessary financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Serve as the primary internal liaison for external financial audits, including preparation of materials and resolution of findings Develop and maintain a timely and robust budget and forecasting cadence Perform all necessary functions including monthly close and financial statement generation, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, general ledger maintenance and reconciliation, and cash flow and banking relationship management Process payroll accurately and on schedule Perform financial statement consolidation, including intercompany elimination and reconciliation, at the holding-company level Ensure debt covenant compliance and prepare reporting packages for lender and board review Human Resources Serve as the primary point of contact with our benefits provider Create and maintain employee profiles and onboarding documentation Support HR compliance, recordkeeping, and policy administration General Administrative Take ownership of operational initiatives that fall outside a defined lane Identify and implement process improvements in financial and administrative workflows Support leadership with special projects as the business grows What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MBA, CPA, or CMA is a plus 5-10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a controller-level role; small company or manufacturing environment strongly preferred Solid grounding in accounting principles and financial statement preparation; GAAP-basis reporting experience preferred Experience with multi-entity or consolidated financial reporting Familiarity with ERP or accounting software—Sage 100 experience a plus—and command of office tools, including Excel Proven track record of translating broad strategic initiatives into prioritized tactical implementation plans Positive attitude and approachable demeanor Superior oral and written communication skills, accompanied by good listening skills Adaptability to nimbly navigate and lead others through complex situations Commitment to "roll up your sleeves"; no job is too small Self-starter with a sense of urgency Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary, commensurate to experience, and performance-based bonuses.
