This role is NOT for someone who needs rigid structure, predictable days, or constant direction. It IS for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where priorities shift, problems appear quickly, and you are trusted to figure things out before they become issues. You will serve as a trusted partner to ownership across business and personal financial management, operational oversight, and project execution. You must be able to zoom out to strategic thinking and zoom in to hands‑on execution often in the same hour. This is an in‑office role with occasional work‑from‑home flexibility.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own the monthly close process and deliver accurate multi‑entity financial reporting Maintain and continuously improve financial systems, documentation, and workflows Coordinate with external CPA teams and manage all tax‑related matters Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial discipline across business and personal finances Manage invoicing, reconciliations, and financial controls Provide executive‑ready reporting and insights that support decision‑making Lead operational and project management for both business and personal initiatives Anticipate needs, identify issues early, and proactively solve problems before they escalate Serve as a key operational and financial partner to ownership in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT
8-12+ years in finance, accounting, or controller roles Experience supporting entrepreneurial, multi‑entity, or multifaceted business environments Demonstrated ability to operate with high autonomy, strong judgment, and exceptional common sense Thrives in a small, fast‑paced environment where no two days look the same Flexible and comfortable with non‑traditional hours when needed , this role supports a business that moves quickly Strong proactive problem‑solver who anticipates needs rather than waits for direction Able to shift seamlessly between strategic thinking and hands‑on execution Clear, concise, and effective communicator High discretion and comfort handling both personal and business financial matters CPA preferred but not required
SUCCESS IN YOUR FIRST YEAR
Establish a reliable, efficient monthly close process Bring structure, clarity, and accuracy to all financial records Become the central coordination point for all financial information (business + personal) Demonstrate strong judgment, proactive problem‑solving, and the ability to stay ahead of fast‑moving priorities Build trust with ownership as a steady, reliable, and nimble partner
