Sheridan, OR (On-site) Overview The Assistant Controller is a senior accounting and operations leadership role responsible for overseeing audit, compliance, and revenue-related functions. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position serves as the primary second-in-command and manages a team of approximately 15 employees. The role is critical to maintaining financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective team leadership within a highly regulated, seven-day operational environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead daily audit functions, including reconciliations and documentation review Ensure compliance with regulations Oversee accurate booking of revenue, expenses, cash, clearing, and liability accounts Prepare, review, and submit audit and compliance reports Respond to regulatory inquiries and ensure adherence to internal controls Manage, coach, and develop a team of 15 Identify process improvements and mitigate financial or compliance risks

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Strong accounting fundamentals, including revenue, cash, clearing, and liability accounts Prior supervisory or people management experience Experience in a regulated environment preferred Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style Timing is everything.
