This dynamic, strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing financial management and operational controls at our Downingtown Site. As a key business partner to the local operations team, the position plays a critical part in driving financial performance, ensuring fiscal discipline, and enabling strategic decision‑making through robust analysis, forecasting, and financial insight. This role leads financial reporting, cost management, and variance analysis—providing leadership with actionable insights that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability. The position will also work proactively with site leadership to develop and deploy operational metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable financial strategies aligned with long‑term business objectives. Essential Responsibilities Review, analyze and present the plant's financial results, trends and metrics on a monthly basis to manufacturing location leaders, finance and non-finance leaders. Facilitate/Own the development of the annual operating budget (AOP) and subsequent forecasts (OTL) processes. Review, track, and monitor plant costs and to also perform variance analysis by investigating drivers (production volumes, factory expenses, absorption, etc.). Continually review manufacturing processes, cost of materials, capex investments, and location costs. Financial modeling, scenario-testing, ROI analyses to support decision making by senior leadership. Knowledge of development and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOMs). Setting and maintaining product cost standards. Collaborate and partner with product divisions and front-line manufacturing staff to drive improved profitability. Provide support for the implementation of new processes, controls and reporting requirements to expand the financial tools needed to make key business decisions at the plant locations. Tracking of plant cost savings results and reporting against set targets. Conduct monthly/quarterly financial business reviews with manufacturing location leaders. Summarize and present financial results, highlighting key sales and cost drivers. Lead variance analysis to key benchmarks (budget, forecast, prior year, etc.) and clearly communicate key assumptions and inputs to site leadership to ensure alignment with performance objectives. Partner closely with site leaders to provide impactful financial analysis supporting operational and strategic decision-making. Develop and deploy operational metrics that support daily business management while proactively managing costs and working capital for sustainable improvement. Conduct regular financial reviews and provide assessments and recommendations to site leadership. Lead or facilitate cost‑out and profit improvement initiatives. Partner with operations teams to support make/buy decisions, capital investments, inventory management, ad‑hoc analysis, and other key needs. Lead inventory standard costing and margin analysis activities, including the annual standards roll and physical inventory processes. Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis and special projects to help the business understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with central accounting to maintain an effective internal controls environment. Professional Experience & Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial/accounting functions—industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Prior leadership experience preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with expert-level Excel skills. Excellent ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex financial information. Strong professional skepticism with the ability to validate data accuracy and draw meaningful conclusions. Ability to influence across functions and multiple locations. Continuous improvement mindset. Results-driven with the ability to meet business-critical deadlines. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
