This opportunity offers full ownership of the accounting function within a growing real estate company near the Hanover, MD area—along with the chance to influence strategy at a high level. Why This Role Stands Out Lead the full accounting function across a dynamic, multi-entity real estate portfolio Partner directly with the CFO and executive leadership on key business decisions Build, mentor, and elevate a strong accounting team Play a key role in acquisitions, refinancing, and ongoing portfolio expansion Drive efficiencies through process improvements, automation, and system upgrades Join a fast-moving, growth-oriented organization Take ownership of lender relationships, financial reporting, and audit processes Make a measurable impact on scalability, accuracy, and operational performance What You'll Do Oversee corporate and property-level accounting across multiple entities Manage and optimize a high-volume month-end close Deliver accurate, timely financials and actionable insights to leadership Lead cash flow forecasting, treasury oversight, and liquidity strategy Serve as the primary liaison for lenders, auditors, and external stakeholders What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership Background in real estate accounting with multi-entity structures Proven ability to lead teams and meet tight close deadlines #
