We are seeking an experienced Interim Controller to join our manufacturing organization for a 6-month contract. This role is highly transactional and requires a hands-on professional with strong accounting expertise and the ability to manage day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, maintain compliance, and support process improvements during this interim period.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable . Manage month-end and year-end close processes , ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis . Supervise and review transactional accounting activities to maintain compliance with GAAP. Prepare and analyze financial statements, internal reports, and management summaries . Support cost accounting and inventory reconciliations specific to manufacturing operations. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency . Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies . Act as a liaison with external auditors during the engagement period.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance ; CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience , including controller-level responsibilities. Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting practices , including cost accounting. Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (experience with [insert software name if known]). Advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
