Plant Controller Job Description The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities within a pressure casting manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with plant leadership to provide financial insight, drive cost efficiencies, and support operational decision-making. The Plant Controller will lead budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, inventory control, and reporting processes, with a strong focus on manufacturing cost drivers such as scrap, yield, labor efficiency, and material usage. Responsibilities Oversee all financial activities within the manufacturing facility. Partner with plant leadership to provide financial insight and drive cost efficiencies. Support operational decision-making processes. Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, inventory control, and reporting processes. Focus on manufacturing cost drivers such as scrap, yield, labor efficiency, and material usage. Essential Skills Expertise in cost accounting and general ledger. Experience with reconciliations and variance analysis. Proficiency in inventory management and forecasting. Ability to create pivot tables and Vlookups in Excel. Familiarity with large-scale ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 5+ years of cost/plant accounting experience. 5+ years of experience reconciling accounts. 5+ years of variance analysis experience within a plant (labor, overhead, absorption). 5+ years of experience tracking inventory. Work Environment The position requires onsite work at the manufacturing facility. The work environment involves collaborating closely with plant leadership and other team members to ensure financial and operational efficiency.
