Job Description

Assistant Controller | Step Into Leadership & Drive Financial Operations Ready to take your accounting career to the next level? We're seeking a detail-driven and strategic Assistant Controller to partner closely with our Controller and help lead the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization. This is a high-impact role offering a mix of hands-on accounting, team leadership, and strategic involvement perfect for someone who wants to move beyond the numbers and into a true leadership position. What You'll Do Partner with the Controller to oversee daily accounting operations across multiple functions Play a key role in month-end and year-end close, including preparing workpapers and financial statement drafts Oversee and support: Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Cash receipts and cash flow reporting Fixed assets and capital asset reconciliations Work-in-process (WIP) tracking and analysis Weekly payroll processing (including prevailing wage) Analyze financial data and assist in producing accurate financial reports Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures Assist with audits, insurance renewals, and regulatory reporting Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team Evaluate performance and help drive team success What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with payroll, WIP, and multi-entity accounting is a plus Proven ability to lead, organize, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels Why This Role?
