Job Description

The Senior Vice President for MasTec's enterprise shared services, referred to as Leveraged Services, will lead the design, build, and execution of an enterprise, multi-function shared services model, supporting MasTec Power Delivery, a $5B energy infrastructure operating vertical. This leader will report to the CFO of Power Delivery and is accountable for creating a scalable, efficient, and service‑oriented leveraged services organization that enables the businesses to focus on execution, growth, and customer delivery. This role has end‑to‑end accountability for the current scope of leveraged services spanning Accounting, Procurement, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Union/Labor Relations, with direct leadership of senior functional leaders. The SVP will establish and refine operating models, governance, service delivery standards, and performance metrics while driving cost transparency, service quality, continuous improvement and will support future function/process scope expansion.. This is a build-and-operate leadership role requiring strategic vision, focused partnering with the operating businesses and hands‑on execution expertise. MasTec Leveraged Services objectives include improving efficiency, clarifying process ownership and enabling Leveraged Services teams to act as proactive, value‑driven business partner, so Operations can move faster with confidence. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Operating Model Design and execute the segment‑wide leveraged services strategy, aligned with enterprise and segment financial and operational objectives Refine the scope of services, service placement, and decision rights between leveraged services and the operating businesses Establish governance, intake, prioritization, and escalation models to ensure consistent and disciplined execution Lead transformation from decentralized / legacy models to a scaled, standardized leveraged services environment Leadership, Talent Development, & Culture Build and develop a high‑performing leveraged services leadership team Set clear expectations, accountability, and development paths for senior leaders and teams Establish a strong service‑oriented culture focused on ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement Act as a visible, trusted partner to segment leadership and operating businesses Value Creation Deliver measurable cost efficiency, productivity, and working capital improvements through standardization, automation, and process optimization Develop transparent cost allocation methodologies and service pricing that drive accountability and value awareness Embed benchmarking and external best practices to ensure market competitiveness across all leveraged services functions Service Delivery & Performance Management Establish service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and reporting dashboards across all leveraged services Manage end‑to‑end demand planning, capacity modeling, and workload balancing Drive a culture of customer-centric service delivery with defined escalation and resolution mechanisms Continuously improve service quality while scaling for organic growth and acquisitions Transformation & Process Improvement Lead process redesign, automation, and digital enablement efforts across leveraged services Champion continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) Partner closely with IT and functional leaders to modernize transactional platforms and workflows Lead change management efforts to drive adoption, engagement, and sustained performance Competencies & Leadership Profile Executive Capabilities Proven ability to build, scale, and lead large, leveraged services organizations in complex, operational environments Strong business acumen with the ability to balance cost discipline and service excellence Demonstrated success leading transformation, change, and integration efforts Highly effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills Functional & Technical Expertise Deep experience in finance operations and transactional processes Broad exposure to procurement, HR operations, and cross‑functional service delivery models Strong understanding of labor / unionized environments preferred Experience leveraging third‑party providers, outsourcing, and vendor partnerships where appropriate Strong financial modeling, benchmarking, and performance management skills Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred Minimum 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including senior‑level responsibility Demonstrated experience leading large, multi‑function teams in shared services, global business services (GBS), or similar models
